The Great Lakes Policy Research Network seeks to use the considerable scholarship on water governance as well as insights from water practitioners and user communities to develop new knowledge and tools Map of research areasrelated to understanding a system`s ability to cope with complexity and become more adaptable.

The Network consists of social science researchers and graduate students engaged in research projects related to complex transboundary environment and water governance.

Our current focus is on a comparison of water governance in two complex water governance systems in North America: the Great Lakes and the Rio Grande/Rio Bravo
